DEPARTMENT OF DIRECT THREATS

The Department of Direct Threats operates as the Republic of Motherboard’s emergency response mechanism.
Where other ministries analyze, correct or prevent over time, this department intervenes immediately. It exists for moments when delay is considered dangerous.

The department functions as an interrupt system within the national infrastructure. When RAM detects a critical convergence of intent, emotion and situational proximity, authority is transferred directly to the Department of Direct Threats. This process bypasses standard review protocols. Speed is prioritized over deliberation.

Personnel within the department consist of rapid-response analysts, enforcement operatives and behavioral containment specialists. Their mandate is not investigation, but neutralization.

Subjects are approached under the assumption that escalation is imminent, regardless of whether any action has occurred.

Interventions may include forced isolation, memory access restriction, or immediate extraction from public environments. These actions are logged retroactively. In urgent cases, documentation follows intervention, not the other way around.

The Department of Direct Threats is rarely activated. Its visibility is intentionally minimal. Citizens are not meant to notice its presence, only its absence.

The department exists to ensure that uncertainty never reaches the public sphere. When prevention fails, interruption remains.
